What i have for you here is not so much a tutorial but just a little demo of 2 i really enjoy about modo. you can find the video HERE. For those who don't know Modo is a 3d package made by luxology. While i would never replace Maya or Houdini with it, it does have some powerful options! It has been awhile since i have posted anything technical here. I plan on doing a little tutorial soon on photometric lights in mental ray and another video on a little piece of software called MapZone and how powerful it can be.

Moving on if you goto MyMentalRay you can find information on an HDRI that was made available to that community through my new stash section.

Last but not least my good friend has posted a video on his website MnPhotostudio.com that is pretty nuts and worth checking out! You can read the details on his site but basically he did a timelapse with his 40D mouted to the hood of an SUV!!! crazy!

Well i guess i have been feeling rather industrious about my site. Third update in like a week! anyway thought i would post the HDRI coulda been. While in the middle of shooting my batteries died and i had no backup! Hopefully that is the last time that will ever happen. I am still gathering content right now for the stash. Right now i have about 6-7 HDRI that i plan on adding to there. Also i've got some other assests like textures and models! even some match moved footage with HDRI to accompany it. Things are progressing..... Well until next time this has been a short update.

I should add that this image is only one exposure with no PS work just adjustment on the WB. I'm getting good at this
